Am I in the right section?
I have a Relictors space marine army [I have several marine armies] and can someone tell me if its still ok to use Relictors as loyalists. Relictors might use demon weapons occasionally and that has made GW to class them as 'traitors' in recent years. The inquisition uses demon weapons and demonhosts but they certainly aren't traitors. Can someone please clarify this for me

The Relictors are a bit tricky where to place them at the moment. They were declared Extremis Diabolus but they seem to have sent 10 companies to during the 13th Black Crusade.
Like the Doom Legion, it's possible that elements of the Relictors were declared traitor and the rest were allowed to atone for their traitorous brethren.
Are you could just say that you're using them before they went renegade or that your Relictors didn't follow the others in their use of the malefic.
Plenty of ways to explain it.

I'm not quite clear of the direction of your question, but since GW's fun police are unlikely to burst in and stop you, then of course it's ok to use Codex: Space Marines to represent a Relictors army. If you want to be as fluffy as you can within that, give your Captain a Relic Blade and kitbash the model with a fantasy daemon weapon.
I can't speak for the people with whom you play, but if I had painted my Space Marines as Relictors, nobody at my club would be likely to object if I asked to add a few Relics from the Chaos Marines Codex to my C:SM list either. Next to, say, Chapter Master Smashfether, it's not half as broken as what can be done with the army list as written.
If your question is whether it would be fluffy to field post-excommunication Relictors as 'loyalists' alongside Adeptus Custodes and Sisters of Battle, well you can probably infer the answer.
That said, the 40k universe was designed to be a big place with a long timespan in which a lot of weird and unlikely stuff can happen, so why not? Atlas Infernal depicts a Relictors Techmarine in the retinue of a loyal Inquisitor. (And is a surprisingly excellent novel, btw.)

This is is how I play them. Use loyalist but stay away from all that recent grav stuff etc.and ally in an inquisitor in power armour + a daemon weapon in each unit and use them as "count as" relictors carrying daemon weapons.

Thanks for the feedback.
The models themselves aren't really 'fluffy' as they are just ordinary marine's I've painted dark grey
The only one who looks like a traitor is their force commander who I gave an FB chaos knight arm to. I also painted his eyes red to make him look like he's on the verge of going insane.

For the Doom Legion, in the Marine codex (I forget if pts the current one or the one just before it) it discussed how they would face an uphill struggle to keep their honor intact, but the Chapter was not (as a whole) declared Traitor.
Your Relictors could easily be Loyalist, because they are by and large still loyal if I remember. Gee-dubs changes their fluff so much I've stopped bothering taking a lot of their stuff as real canon any more

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum
