Deadly Dark Eldar Warrior

Sydney

Hey guys, I just wanted some feedback on a list I put up (hoping to finish real soon!).

It's to enter a beginner's tournament just before Christmas.

Formation:
RECLAMATION LEGION

HQ:
Overlord (1) - 150pts
1 Overlord: Warscythe, Resurrection Orb, The Veil of Darkness

ELITES:
Lychguards (5) - 150pts
5 Lychguard: Hyperphase Sword and Dispersion Shield

TROOPS:
Warriors (16) - 208pts
16 Warrior

Warriors (16) - 208pts
16 Warrior

Immortals (5) - 85pts
5 Immortal: Gauss Blasters

FAST ATTACK:
Tomb Blades (3) - 66pts
3 Tomb Blade: Twin-linked Gauss Blaster, Shieldvanes, Nebuloscope

Canoptek Wraiths (3) - 129pts
3 Canoptek Wraith: Whip Coils

This puts me at 996pts!

Mainly focuses on the Overlord with his unit of Lychguards to do some ass-kicking.

C&C appreciated as always!

Working on it

It looks pretty good but you can't bring Wraiths as part of a Reclamation Legion, they have to be in the Canoptek Harvest.

Also, if you want to get the best mileage out of the RL you need an auxiliary, I would drop the Wraiths for Flayed Ones.

This will give you the full decurion bonus and should be pretty effective at 1000 points.

I'd also consider shaving those Warrior squads for a Ghost Ark, but warrior blobs can be just as reliable.

<Dynasty> ~10500pts
War Coven of the Coruscating Gaze ~3000pts
Thrice-Damned Plague Corps ~3250pts
Admech (TBN) ~3500pts +30k Bots and Ulator

Be mindfull, that give your Overlord and the lychuards their flyer transport or don't bother with them. Lychguard are slow. And no one will fight them in melee willingly. Meaning they will spend the whole game, just walked towards things and doing nothing as everything just avoids them.

I'd recommend getting more immortals or more warriors, as they generally prove to be a pain in the butt to deal with and can dish out quite a bit of firepower. And as Kharne said, maybe try to fit in Ghost Ark, as its adds lots of dakka, and makes your already hardy infanrty start repairing.

8th Overhaul!

About 3000 Deamons
2 Imperial Knigts... Soon to be a third

Changes I would make:

Overlord - Drop Reso Orb and add Phase Shifter (they are both good, arguments can be made for both, I prefer PS to help survive challenges)

Warriors - Reduce to 10 per squad to free up points

Add 3 scarabs (should be included with warrior box)
Add 1 sypder (Cheap extra model if you dont have one)
Combine with wraiths to make canoptek harvest formation and in turn Decurion Detatchment

This should put you at 950 points. 50 points to play with. Add more warriors, equipment on your overlord, maybe gloom prism on the spyder (not sure how others feel, but this has saved me a few times)

This could potentially beat just about anything on the board at 1000 points.

Very true, but be aware this is the most overused and most boring formation the necron have. Its absurdly powerful. But boring. And, at my local shop, some people won't play you, if you say necron and decurion. Many people may tell you, "Nah, I dont want to play agianst that". My buddy plays this every game. I have played him about 10 times and the only changes he has made is how many extra wraiths he adds vs how many more immortals he has. And I can say, I don't mind playing against it, because I just throw experimental builds at it, to test it, but none of my other friends are interested in playing him.
