Hello all, to benefit from the killshot rule ( 3 predators in a unit) from traitors hate as part of a Fist of the Gods formation I cant just take one three predators (and warpsmith) to fulfil the formation criteria and get the killshot bonus? Would I need to take 3 predators (counts as one unit) and 2 more vehicles with the warpsmith to get both bonuses?

You need 3 units of predators, not just 3 predators :(

You need a unit of three predators for the killshot. So if you're taking a fist of the gods you would need one unit of three plus 2 units of whatever other tank and a warpmsith. You don't need three units of predators.

Indeed, I thought it would be the case. Annoying as I wouldve liked to have just added it to my khorne force but ill need to go down the 3 pred, warpsmith and two cultists route. Still I could probably make it a Dark Mechanicum style thing with converted cultists that have servo skull heads etc or I might just go with the formation. If the butcherhorde is the primary detachment would the FOTG formation receive any bonuses from it (not that it wil make much difference on a single warpsmith)

Sorta. The warpsmith would get VotLW buffs and all that, but the vehicles don't get anything since the Fist doesn't have walkers. Those get to re-roll their charges at the very least.
