Even though I am coming late to the joy that is Palpatine as part of an imperial list, I've been wondering if (given some of the new crew options & points cost of the Upsilon) we might see some different crew combinations on Imperial shuttles.

Yorr with inspiring recruit and fleet officer/hux seems like it could be useful soaking up stress and bleeding it off fast (especially alongside a ship with the expertise EPT) or Stridan with systems and fleet passing TL and 2 focus or another action up to r3.

What do you think? Could some of these combinations start replacing the ubiquitous OG Palp shuttle? Or is Palpatine simply just so good as to be irresistible?

Not likely. Palpatine is just too powerful, and Palp aces lists are too good. I just don't see anything in the new crew options that is better, except maybe Hux in a swarm list (which probably isn't viable because it auto-loses to Dengaroo).

I've had some luck with Fleet officer and Mara on a Tie bomber shuttle. i suppose it could be transferred to the shuttle. But in the end Peregrine is right, Palp is far too good...
