Hey all,

I'm eyeing that Prospero box with a couple of peeps as a potential start of a second army (furries), and was wondering if somebody could tell me how large are the MKIIIs compared to the 40k marines per se. It seems as if they're a mite bigger and with proportions better done as well, which I really hope is the case.

Thanks for giving me some motivation to get started building my BoP box!
As you can see, there is some overall build difference, though the main height factors is the backpack.

Aslo pose... It looks they have legs a fraction straighter.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

If you look at all the bits independently, they aren't a great deal bigger just bulkier. The helmets have more presence and as jhe90 said, the legs are straighter than other marines.

They look just fine side-by-side in an army though.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Glad if I had any part in that!
Thanks for posting the pic, that really sealed the deal for me; the model does seem to be more compact and the stance makes a huge difference in overall appearance. Good luck with the rest of them!

The thing I'm glad about is that they seem easier to bring up to a semblance of true scale. A slip of plasticard underneath the torso won't be so apparent because of the hanging plates, the thighs could be cut in the hip and not in the middle and then extended with some greenstuffed loincloth (loinfur?) covering the messy bits and adding to the wulfishnes. I'm not a fan of mkIII helmets (or any helmets for that matter) for wolves but I'll be using marauder horsemen heads anyway.
