ORK TINBOYZ
In some ork kultures, there are those (stormboyz) orks who have seen human marines in action and have come to appreciate the fearlessness, ferocity and armor of these foes. Those with the teeth to spend and a looted suit of powered armor can convince the clan's painboy to fit them into the suit of armor, creating an ork warrior known as a tinboy.
Unfortunately, fitting an ork into a suit of marine armor is not an easy job, tasking even the most skilled of painboyz. It involves the breaking and re-mending of bones, adding in sparking elektrik implants to interface with the alien armor, and most of all, removing unnecessary outer layers of tissue - namely skin - to wedge the massive bodies into the armor. The result, however is a decently tanky ork with a rictus grin frozen on his face as enemy weaponry bounces off his newly acquired hide...

I love "And They Don't Know Much Fear". You've captured something very orky here. One nitpick is that they really shouldn't have BS3 and should be able to take ork weapons. Also, maybe they should get mekboy tinboys instead of boss tinboys, like how lootas/burnas get meks instead of nobs.

Thanks!
I did initially have them at BS 2, but with all the ranged weapon upgrades, that didn't seem right. I figured I could justify it in that the orks are using the marine targeters built into the armor.
Also, I figured if the orks were going to be using scavenged marine armor, they'd likely use the marine weapons they got with them. However, using propa' shooty ork weapons doesn't seem far fetched - do you have any specific weapons in mind?

Why only 1 attack? For that matter, why S4? They're Ork Boyz with better gear, right?

They're a bit more marinized orks. They should also get Clan Taktiks and Fall Podz.

Haha! And They Don't Know Much Fear is the best thing I've seen in ages well done

I like the idea of Drop Podz. Make them fantastically literal. They're just metal pods that they drop from aircraft. No thrusters.
Treat them like single-shot missiles. One S6 blast that also hits the AV10 Drop Pod. After that, the Orks clamber out (if they're not blown clear of the wreckage by the vehicle exploding). Perfect

Use the Ork equivelent ..Shootas are Orks Bolters..
Sluggas are the Ork Boltpistol..
Burna (+15points) <flamer>
Kustom Mega Blaster (+10) <Melta/Plasma>
Rokkit (+5 points) <missile>
Big Shoota (+5 points) <Heavy bolter>
Just make it big choppa <Supa Choppa>
Tin boy Boss use the Nob base stateline..add bosspole.
Pk +25/Killsaw +30/Big Choppa +5/Burna +15
Ork Combi Skorcha +10/Combi Rokkit+5/Twin linked Shoota +3
Just leave the Attack rating at 2 that is the ork statline base..
Just make it heavy armour then it falls inline with other ork upgrades..or you need to up the base cost to 15..

Back in Rogue Trader, Imperial armies had access to battle robots, Castellan, Cataphract, Colossus, Conqueror, etc.
(Where the player had to write battle programs for the robots.)
The Orks had the option of taking Tin Boyz, crude remote control robots controlled by a Mek Boy.
The robots were made to parody the Orks enemies Space marine, Eldar and Squ&ta.
Is this what you were thinking of?

Must be, though to be honest I had thought I had seen stats for "Orks dressed up in Marine armor" in a past edition. The name "Tinboyz" certainly struck a memory, but I didn't know they were basically robots. That's kinda cool.

The old MANz model was of an ork wearing termie armor, that might be what you're thinking of.
