I apologize if these where answered before, but I wasn't able to find them with a search. Any help is appreciated.

So with a Raptor Talon Formation, if a IC also with Deep Strike (say a Jump Pack Lord) from another formation or detachment joins a unit from a Raptor Talon, can the unit still make a disordered charge the turn they deep strike in?

Also, if i run both a Black Legion Speartip and another formation or detachment, can a IC from the non-LBST join a unit from it and deep strike turn one (assuming it can also deep strike and make any necessary roll)?

I'm leaning toward yes for both, but I also have a vested interest in it working, and just wanted to sound out the ideas before I try to use them.

A non speartip IC that is joined to a speartip talon prevents the talon from deepstriking on turn 1, because the lord may not DS turn 1. Formation benefits are not conveyed to joined ICs.

And as for charging, 99% of people will tell you that you can't charge, I believe you can. That IC wouldn't be able to move until the pile in step though and would have to stay in coherency. That's just me though. It's generally accepted that you can't charge if one of models can't charge.
