Kickstarter is live for only 24 hours, check it out here!

---

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that we have a new Kickstarter project beginning on the 26th of December... we're looking to fund some more anthro animal miniatures, and a terrain set... and we're doing it a little differently this time, as we are only going to be live for 24 hours!

Here's a link to the KS video if you want to hear me and Jo randomly waffling at a camera, and below that are a few pics of the type of thing we're hoping to fund...

cheers,
Michael

New Burrows and Badgers? I'm in. Such a short campaign seems really risky though.

Thanks! and yeah, it does seem risky, doesn't it? It's a bit of an experiment really.

We've been playing about with the numbers, and typically, a B&B projects works out at about £650 in pledges per figure. And generally, we get roughly half the total pledges of our projects on the first day. So, with 11 minis in this project, £3500 in one day would be good, and £7000 would be as good as a normal 12 day run. It'll be interesting to see how it goes, and it would be nice to be somewhere between those numbers. But then, it will be just after Christmas, which could really mess things up!

Whatever happens, there'll be lots of interesting updates through the day. If you've ever wanted to know how to sculpt a fleur-de-lis, this is the KS for you!

I just want to learn how to sculpt without soul crushing frustration and doubt. Will there be a pledge level for that?

Sadly, no. Even after 15 years of doing it, I still end up messing up at least half of what I do... soul crushing frustration is pretty much the default state!

Anyway, here's a link to the project preview page, if anyone fancies a look:

We had a Hermann's Tortoise in the last one, but that's about as close as we get...

We can't really do big stuff like boars and gators, as we've set ourselves some limits... shrews are the littlest, at the 17 to 21mm size, up to badgers at around 50mm. So if it's much bigger than a badger, we can't really fit it in the game world... sorry!

If You can't fit 'em, someone will still try! Let's call that Plains and Prides, shall we?

Yeah, it's a bit mad really isn't it? I'm hoping it's mad enough to attract some attention... and anyway, I figure if it doesn't fund, at least we'll only have lost 24 hours!

Thanks! It's a hangover from spending my childhood reading Redwall books, where the badgers were the big guys, really!

Thanks Dysartes! Yep, launching in about an hour...

Nostromodamus wrote:Will we be able to pledge for the terrain only?
Yes - there's a pledge just for the terrain. We figured anthro animals are not everyone's bag, so the terrain should get it's own pledge.

Right - I'm off to make sure everything's ready!

Pledged for the minis tonight myself.

Just a heads up that there's only about 12 hours to go.

Also, the kS says that you can add minis from earlier Burrows and Badgers releases, but I asked and they said you could also add minis from their "Sensible Shoes" line of realistically attired female miniatures.

You can see the whole Sensible Shoes line here:
http://oathsworn.net/stuff/ss2-pick.jpg

Pledge now, because who doesn't need anthropomorphic animals and female figures who look like they could actually win a fight!

Another idea might be a 36-48 hour campaign. Still "flashy", but less chance of anyone missing out . Love that you guys did this, though!
