Hey Dakka,

Been a while since I shared any hobby pics but I thought this one might be worth it. Invested a lot of time trying out different weathering techniques, as well as some of the technical paints from GW. I know that it will appear too weathered for some but my Dark Mechanicum force have a nurgle theme so entropy and decrepitude are encouraged rather than repaired. I tried to use as much realism when it came to different washes and oils for different lubricants, grime, grease etc which hopefully comes through with the finished piece. Constructive criticism always welcome.

Someone needs to remind the servitors to clean that guy when he gets done smashing!

Joking aside, that's very good heavy weathering.

The Thanatar is painted really nicely.

My only criticisms would go towards the base, fairly large portions of it just look like bits stuck on, they haven't really been integrated into the base itself.

A bit of putty work in and around those, and I think it would top it off even more.

Thanks for the kind words.

@winter:

That's a valid point. I hadn't even considered that during the basing but it makes sense looking back. I will absolutely apply that to the next one.

Nice weathering, and good contrast on what is effectively a yellow and white scheme.
