I decided to get a new airbrush this christmas, already got a chinese knockoff that i use for basecoating.

I came down to two options - talon or krome.

the thing is - i paint mostly 28mm (40k, aos and boardgames) and was looking a brush for highlights and some detail.

Oh, and i mostly use craft paint for airbrushing (domestic craft and delta ceramcolor) (i live in brazil, hobby paint is prety expensive, i only use it for detailing)

krome is a superior airbrush, but i think it may be overkill and limited for my use]

Also maybe .25 on talon works best than .21 on krome with craft paints.

Anyone has any imput on both of them?

thanks in advance.

well I don't know how you can use craft paint in those tbh I mean it might gum it up worse

however I did just get the paasche talon and tbh I really really love it. It's been a lot better than my iwata Neo, which I've used mainly for basecoating/priming. Also the paasche can fit a couple of different sizes so it is more versatile.

I haven't used the krome at all, so I can't give you much feedback sadly. I know a lot of people like badger, thought and they seem like they are a really good company. I did chose the talon over a badger because it was on sale and because of stories I've heard about their customer service being really really good.

Dunno if that helps I'm sure someone with more experience will post!

Any help is welcome!

I ended up picking a talon, since it was half the price of a krome, and i really think that the ultra fine lines krome does would be of little use to me.

And about the craft paints, man, liquitex airbrush medium just make them work somehow, against all odds.
