Thoughts & suggestions? Automatically Appended Next Post: So, the idea here is that you have 5 pods so you’re getting the 3 Lucius Pods down on turn 1, while keeping the Death Company Dreads embarked. Meanwhile, your Death Company Chaplain and his squad are moving up the table using their extra 6″ move to get into position for either a first turn charge or to get in range to boost the Death Company Dreads attacks when they charge out. Turn 2 is when you’re really hoping to lay down the hammer for a hard beta strike. The Dreads disembarking from their pods and moving the Chaplain in range of at least one or two of them. Then the Terminators arrive from deep strike reserve ready to charge in. Meanwhile you can drop other Death Company units down to capture objectives, or to lay down fire support with bolters.

IMHO your squads need to be bigger or they just die to your opponents fodder. You don't need the Guardians Blade with the dreads hunting armour. And the orbital force is too expensive for what it does

Hello,
I basically agree with BloodPigeons89B, you need bigger DC squads or they'll be easily eradicated.
Additionally, if you want to play the archangels orbital intervention force you need to build a list around it (like captain karlean that allows you to reroll reserves and some beacons to prevent the scatter from deep strike). Remember that you have to roll and you might aswell get unlucky (it s a normal 3+ roll that one can fail so many times). Additionally you have the full 2D6 scatters which might aswell screw your charge or, even worse, causes a mishap.
Finally, if you still want to play this formation you should just go with TH and SS on all of them to hit them hard.
I think that the golden host with Dante could be something to look at.

Ok. Great points.
Maybe I will go with one of these options-
Lucifer Armoured Task Force – Command Benefit: All units have Scout and Overcharged Engines for free.
1 Techmarine
3-5 Baal Predators or Predators
1-3 Land Raiders, Land Raider Crusaders, or Land Raider Redeemers
OR
Stormraven Squadron – Command Benefit: Once per battle, during the movement phase, declare you target an enemy unit. All the Stormravens within 72″ of the target and within line of sight must shoot all their remaining Stormstrike Missiles at the target. This doesn’t count towards the number of weapons usable and the Stormravens may use their weapons during the shooting phase as normal
2-4 Stormraven Gunships Automatically Appended Next Post: Lost Brotherhood Strike Force

1 Lemartes 130
Death Company Strike Force
1 Death Company Chaplain Gilded Crozius, Meltabombs 155

The great thing about the LBSF is that it isn't forced to take an auxillary, I take a Chapter Ancients with Libby dreads and a regular dread in Lucious pods, and the guilded crozious is great in a 10 man blob of DC

Unfortunately I have decided to not get back into 40k again. It seems that the wife is having some serious issues with it. Whatever.
