Is it normal to see some greasiness on products from FW? I just bought a House Terryn upgrade kit for my Knight and some of the parts are a little...slick. Is washing with soap and water ideal?

It's not unusual. And you should be washing any of your resin parts in soap and water no matter how it might seem to you every time.

FW likes to use mold release agents and doesn't always clean it up. Just remove it before use. There are some GW/FW tutorials about it.

Hot soapy water, detergent of some sort i.e. fairy liquid, will sort that. Perfectly normal. Its the distortion on bits that bugs me...looking at you DKoK lasrifle barrels.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you. |

Hot water fixes that too.

Yeah I had no issues with distorting bits when I cleaned them, personally. I did forget to clean my resin, however, and the painted flaked a lot.

Yup, that's from residual mold release used on the part.

Yep like the others have said use soapy water and clean them off. FW uses mold release to help with their process.
Just make sure to clean them! A friend of mine decided that hey didn't need to clean them and started to prime the model. Oh boy that did not go well!
