Hey Everyone, normally i try to put some better more curated photos up in this section, but i just finished my first squad of dire avengers for my burgeoning eldar army, The Verdant Tide. An "underwater" themed Eldar army. A couple things i strived for was, a somewhat quick paint time (There are corners cut, i spent the majority of the energy painting the armor, the rest of it all i tried to not get bogged down with perfect details), and a simple base so i wouldnt be too precious with my models in game. After all, i do want to USE these models for once...LOL..The Banner is left incomplete because i truthfully havent settled on a design yet. But it will be some kind of seashell design. Any way, i suspect it might be a little too pink and gemy for some of yall, but these are all colors i love to paint. Ive included a few shots of just single guys as well, some taken prior to my putting the seaweed and orange "corals" down. Would love your thoughts dakka <3 Happy Holidays!

a couple solos...

and the finished 5

hope yall like em!!!!! Super stoked on my first finished squad of my baby eldar army! Woot!

Great paintwork. Not in love with the scheme (and I admit the basing is...a little odd to me?) but the brushwork is excellent. It's also nice to see painted Eldar on here (kinda rare it seems). What's next?

They are gorgeous. I love the colours and the way you've blended them.

Lookin' real well done! The blending between the green and blue is very clean, and the bright green is an excellent choice of spot color.

Hey guys! Thanks alot for the feed back!!

@Bergil: Thanks man! However, a simple google search should reveal some absolutely bonkers Eldar models. The above were painted pretty quickly, and even at my full attention and care, i could not replicate some of the true master mini painters! im working on it though and thats all i can do!

@ Elbows: Thanks for honest critique my friend. I truly appreciate it!! i did expect more people to feel as you did, its a bit of a reach with the basing especially. No worries about the theme either, its a quite, well, verdant!!! The whole thing came about from under water color schemes from world of warcaft. As to whats next.....

A walker!!! One of three. This i did not speed paint and was a bit of a reward for finishing a squad. a small squad, still a squad lol. Im posting just the first of the 3 so you can see where im going with vehicles...and the rest you can see on PM blog as i get through it. Ill refrain from posting here until the squad is complete so i dont spam you guys with models. Heres the first and ill see you guys soon. happy new years everyone!! <3

That's awesome!

I'd love to know the colors you used for the armor on the WW.

The War Walker looks great (and that's a model I hate --- a rhyme!). I think you chose right not using the glass or the winglet armour things. I built two of these this year and sold them off I disliked the end result model so much.

You've done a good job of saving it. I like the very very subtle amount of wear and chipping you did. It's not covered in rust powder or scratches, but very nicely done. Good job.

Your blending is unreal! Do you use an air brush? And is there any chance of you posting a tutorial?

Exquisite blending and scheme!

Nice retro 80s basing too! Extremely old school style. No bright goblin green edges though?

I was a bit sceptical at first, especially with the old school basing, but that war walker is incredible!
I think you really nailed the vehicle, and the base finally bring out the theme of the coloursheme.
Love it, and looking forward to more vehicles.
