Hi, trying to understand the turn system of 40k. Let's say the game has 6 turns. Does each player move shoot and assault for each turn. So a player gets 6 movements phases of their own, or do they only have 3 movement phases, as only one player moves etc each turn? Sorry if this is unclear x

So each Game turn consists of 2 Player turns.
Each Player turn you are allowed to move, shoot, assault, etc
So in 6 Game turns, both players get 6 player turns each, like so:
Turn1: You go, then I go
Turn 2: You go, then I go
And so on.

You can think of it like innings in baseball. Each team gets to go in each inning. There's a top and a bottom of each inning.

Sadly GW didn't think of using the much better nomenclature of player turn and game ROUND (instead of game turn).
nairek nailed it, so follow his post and you'll be golden.
