But really, I didn't find an alien news article about Roswell. I found a real life news article I heard about a few years ago about humans on Earth that's probably very similar to a news article that the Roswell aliens' species would've written about the aliens and ship that died and crash-landed on Earth.

You ever wonder, maybe they're right? Why didn't the aliens ever show up to retrieve the bodies?

Just, like, mentally change the particulars so that the two fishermen who died are the two aliens who died at Roswell, their boat is their space ship, whatever they were doing instead of fishing was something you'd send two people in a small space ship to do when you can travel to other systems, maybe study the local life forms or something, then just keep drawing parallels and realize that maybe the reason aliens haven't contacted us, asked us for anything, tried to conquer us and take our stuff with highly-advanced technology, and frankly, even a country like North Korea wouldn't care about taking them over, because they don't have or own anything an information-age country wants?

Now remember that every time you watch a movie where aliens decide to invade Earth in the present day for some reason, it's the equivalent of a country ranging from North Korea to the United States deciding to declare war on that tiny, insignificant island for some reason.

Frankly, is getting killed the WORST thing you imagining happening to the people on that island if anyone saw fit to invade them? How violent and bloodthirsty could someone be to do that?

I'll tell you how violent and bloodthirsty they'd have to be to do something like that if aliens ever try to conquer us IRL.

Because any aliens that try to conquer us IRL are going to be THAT violent and bloodthirsty, and somehow didn't wipe themselves out when they invented nukes.

Hawking was right, They're out there, for sure. If they ever find a reason to show up and start a fight, it's gonna be bad for us. Really, REALLY bad. There are no good possibilities, the only good possibilities for finding aliens on our planet are that they crashed here by accident like the Roswell aliens may have, and never intended to start any sort of fight at all.

I dont know how this connects to Roswell or aliens but I have sympathies for the Sentinelese.

I think they were contacted by anthropologists who gave them a warning and told them to be hostile to all future contact. It is the way to go. They are protected by the Indian government.

There are still uncontacted tribes and recently contacted tribes with very limited exposure in some rainforests, most first encounters are friendly. Our tech is so inferior we don't stand a chance. We know that by the FACT we haven't invented spaceships that let us invade other planets yet, despite knowing how it would be scientifically possible to do so.

We're simply not as important or powerful as the fantasy of fighting off an alien invasion leads us to believe we are.

A movie like Independence Day ends realistically with every human on Earth dying because the aliens invented firewalls too, and so Jeff Goldblum's laptop's attempt to access the alien ship's computers is rejected outright, and also that a human cannot learn an alien computer language well enough in the few days since any computers turned on to even understand the operating system, much less design a virus that forcibly disables the defences of a fleet of military vessels that rely on them to not be shot down.

I dont think nukes are a technology that are likely to fade into obsolescence further up the tech tree. We still use spears, the most primitive melee weapon by extension of the ability to fix bayonets on modern rifles.

Nukes also are a pivotal technology as ultimately an annihilatory alien species that wants our land can be left with a salted earth worth less to them if we choose to take the biosphere with us when we go.
I think most aliens with aggressive agendas are better off keeping us on our rock rather than wiping us off it.

We have progressed beyond the age of reason, since the 18th century alien ivasion is problematic as our remnant humans have enough scientific method to reverse engineer much of what we find. We would still lose but could make things difficult.

However HG Wells likely had it right, our microbes and the aliens lack of affinity with out biosphere will be the prime deterent. I think planetary conquest is not really possible on any planet with lifeforms more advanced than the Cambrian era.

Do they. Our radio shell is weak, because of inverse law it is likely that all but very specifically powerful and directional signals will belost in interstellar static about 1 light year out. We can measure said static from the Voyager probe data. I dont think our radio shell extends far at all, and if somehow it did, it has not been advancing long.
