Hi
Do the Sisters of Silence still exist in the 40k universe?
I'm still working through all of the new fluff, so I don't know if they are still around or they have since vanished/ or something happened to them. I'm ok with spoilers with regards to this.
Thanks

Nope, by M32 there was about 50 left. But I expect it's likely going to be retconned when the fall of cadia book comes out anyway.
They also weren't really fans of the Imperium at the time apparently as well.

Yes they do. At the end of Wrath of Magnus there is an abstract of Lords on Terra awakeing age old agents of the Imperium to combat the psychic powers of Magnus. On the opposite page is a picture of a Sister of Silence.
I think that is a pretty good indicator they will be returning.

Readers had been left to presume the Sisters of Silence had either been destroyed in the Heresy, or else dwindled to nothing over the course of ten millennia.
For the sake of selling more plastic kits - which is what the fluff is all about, after all - new GW fluff includes the 'shock reveal' they have endured in hiding from the wider universe, and are now deployed to fight for the Imperium once again.
It's something of a retcon, I suppose, but no more of one than the addition of the Sisters of Silence to the Heresy background in Flight of the Eisenstein was in the first place.
