Hey guys! I would really appreciate any feedback or advice on my 1500 point Chaos Space Marine Rapture Battalion list. This is my first real attempt at a list so help would be really valuable so i can hope to somewhat hold my own against other players. The entire army is either in the Chaos Warband or Kokophoni detachments.

really difficult to squeeze this detachment into 1500 points. Thank you very much for your help!

I'd swap your two chaos lords around, so that your close combat warlord benefits from the double rewards from the warband, which decreases the chance of spawndom.

I'd also consider dropping a few of the chaos space marines in each squad, and adding in a few more bikes you can roughly get 2 bikes for every 3 marines you drop, because icon of excess in a 3 (5 with the x2 lords) man squad won't last very long especially on the champion who can be challenged out.

Edit: how are your noise marines 152 pts ? 95 base + 30 for the blastmaster = 125 did you mistype ?

Awesome i really appreciate the feedback thank you.. I have a few hell drakes and some talons as well but it just seems at 1500 it's too tough to fit those type of units in there. A noise marine army seems tricky and as i am new this really helps

You could always swap around a few of the basic Chaos Space Marine units into Noise Marines for the Kakophoni formation. I know they cost more (and it'll be hell to points juggle) but the extra strength and shred you get from that will make those extra points do more work for you. Also, as awesome as Blastmasters are, (and I mean really awesome) keep in mind that with Doom Sirens, higher initiative, FNP and fearless, Noise Marines are also a unit with a ton of melee potential. A Doom Siren w/ power sword on a Noise Champion and that higher initiative with the1 point CCWs will rip marines and guardsmen equivalents to twitching shreds. Just a thought.

Also, Icons of Excess are the gak. Remember that the FNP you get off Emperor's Children stacks with the Icon FNP, so you end up walking around with a 4+ Feel No Pain save death star unit.

By the way, if you managed to find the room for a Sorceror, you could place him in as a Lord of the Legion and gain full Emperor's Children Decurion benefits.

Definitely! I was thinking about how to fit in a doom siren in there. It's tough with a 1500 point limit and by using the chaos warband core i have to bring either a hellbrute or havocs and 2 units of Chaos Space marines.. Another user advised adding more bikes. Should i lower my tactical marines to 5 man units. I guess more specifically how would you change this? I also had a question about the Termicide squad i am basically required to bring. Do you have a preference on their loadout? I have 3 combi meltas and then I am unsure what would be effective and efficient. Thanks again for your help. This is definitely a tough list for a 1st timer.

Yeah, sure. Just let me rework the list a few ways and I'd get back to you. In 1500 points it is very important to have anti-tank, but 3 melt as in the same squad is a bit excessive if you're trying to fight anything less than an Imperial Kniht. I'd say drop one or two of the melts and retool the Termy unit into a melee force ( I've always found terminators too cumbersome points wise to easily fit into a list). Bikes, as the other user suggested, are a great option, especially equipped with Melba's- if you wanted, what you have in your tac squads plus your Helbrute and a squa of meltabikers would be all the anti-tank you needed. Beyond that, you'll have to take a look at what the people you're playing against are doing. If they favor heavier units, plasma guns are always the way to go, and in fact, I'd recommend them for your non-melta units, because bolters often can't do what you want them to do.

BYW, why aren't you just using the Kakophoni as your Core? Do you really need the Chaos Warband at all?

Not that Chaos Warbands are bad- it just seems like a lot of the units in there are kinda problem units for you when lost making.

you are very right my friend!! I want to lose the warband as it just seems very limiting. Do you think EC would just be better off running a CAD, but kakaphoni I think is definitely the way to go or what would be the point of running EC. Would you you run auxiliaries along side kakophone or a CAD. What are your thoughts on the sonic blasters? I appreciate your help as building the wrong way could be a giant waste of time :/
