2 questions about this formation:

1)Does the optional chambers militant squad form a single unit along with the rest of the henchmen unit? Or is it just a seperate squad but now inquisitor faction?

2)If a dedicated transport is purchased for the acolyte unit, can the entire henchmen unit start embarked in it?

Thx

TT

RAW nope. Since it doesn't have a 1 beside of it. RAI no idea, it seems useless if they don't and insanely interesting if they do.
I mailed GW about this they didn't respond other than the really cool standard mail stating that they have send it to the rule department. Perhaps you could ask them as well and we might get a FAQ about it : D

I have no idea if these units change faction due to being in a formation with an other faction symbol.

yes even if the transport is a "GK" landraider since dedicated transports are automatically the same faction as the unit it came with as per rule book.

That's great zog thanks. Slightly odd wording as you say. I'm desperate to have sisters cutting about in a LR so a bit frustrated atm.

Did you contact GW via fb or email? Is there a specific customer service email?

I used mail, for my personal dislike of spamming my facebook friends with dull / nitpicky 40k rule questions ; )
But who knows facebook might work better.

Their normal customer mail is uk.custserv@gwplc.com

I got an other mail address in their reply.

GW customer service wrote:Greetings mortal subject of the Emperor!

Any queries regarding your commands and regulations should be forwarded to the proper authorities for review and correction where necessary. Communiques should be forwarded to the below address:

Note:Battlefield conditions can often cause communications to become disrupted. Should this occur, DO NOT PANIC, continue as normal until normal communication resumes.

I have never been that pleasantly surprised with a "we will forward it do not expect too much of it" mail

Thanks! I've relieved my blood pressure by realising I can buy an unbound LR as a heavy which lets me put celestians in, which is all I want. Feels a bit wrong.

Will send an email!!

cough you could just field.

1 inquisitor you could call him the big bozz 25 pts.
3 Acylotes ehm lets call them renting car parking guys. 12 points with a dedicated transport rental landraider.

Sure your girls can'ts start in them but neither could they if you went unbound, and the first turn you play they could be in them.

the optional chambers militant squad is a seperate unit, who doesn't change faction

This one is up for debate, because technically the acolytes but the DT and thus the DT gains the inq faction, so the acolytes can start the game in it, but when the non-inq models/units join it becomes a multi faction unit. So then it depends on wheter the DT gains all those factions or not

Why can't I buy an unbound lland raider from the heavy section of the marine codex? If it's not a dedicated transport I can start the game in it?

You still have to follow the BRB FAQ that states that battle brother allies can't deploy inside an allied transport

Can you have more than 1 unit in a transport? Could I start a henchmen unit and have a sisters unit join them in a transport?

No. The only exception is super-heavy transports.

why the sad face ? You will just have to wait outside until your first turn. They can still be in there they just can't start the game in them.

Exactly, no difference at all. Ignore the sounds of those Basilisks firing, it's completely unrelated.

What basilisk they haven't been used in ages it must have been the the sound of your engine gettting ready for takeoff. Now just enjoy your tea in this open field while the parking lot boys finish up vacuum cleaning your landraider.

You can, the unit just can't start in the raider, because the sisters character makes the unit a inq/as unit, but the transport only has the inq. faction and thus the raider is a battle brother transport
