Subject: 750pt Video Battle Report - Narrative Campaign - Orks Vs Dark Angels
Happy New Year everyone! This year I hope to experiment more and try new things with the channel so here's hoping for an exciting and entertaining 2017! I am ringing in the new year with my first real venture into an ongoing narrative campaign! To start it off, how about a brand-new Glacial Geek Battle Report?! https://youtu.be/-J4jI0hyLpQ This is the first of a campaign that will be popping up from time to time between my Dark Angels and the Orks! The Imperial planet of Thrace has come under siege from the monstrous green xenos known as the Orks. The Planetary Defense Force has done what they can to hold them off, mostly failing to prevent the Green Tides from running rampant over their people and places. The distress call has finally been answered by the mighty First Legion, the Dark Angels. Led by Interrogator-Chaplain Dominus, the Unforgiven begin their campaign to cleanse this planet of the Ork filth and free its citizens from the xenos danger. Will the Sons of the Lion be able to bring Thrace back under Imperial rule, or will it become an offering to Mork ... Or is it Gork? Watch and find out!

Awesome game, Phil! Some epic luck swings both ways, making it nice and exciting. I look forward to more of this narrative campaign. I did have a couple of questions: Are all of your regular (non-Killteam) batreps going to be this for a while, or are you going to change it up and do some other games as well? Also, are the battles going to get bigger as you go along? Any way you do it I'll watch, but I'm curious.
One thing I should point out on the technical side, for a lot of your dice rolls, the light was reflecting in such a way as I couldn't read the dice very well in the picture. I'm probably nitpicking, and I'm not sure there's anything you can do about that, but I thought I'd mention it. It's happened in a few of your previous games as well.
My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Thanks guys! This was a TON of fun :-) ... We will probably be coming back to this from time to time, not just going straight through (as the Kill Team today shows ;-) ), but I also have a shorter Narrative campaign coming up in a few weeks that will be 4 straight batreps (KT, Full Length, KT, Full Length) about Dark Angels versus Chaos which should be awesome! As for this campaign we are going to be building and building as we go along so it should get bigger and better :-)
The dice issue is something I'm always gonna be dealing with, unfortunately ... With the lights overhead at the store I'm going to have that glare, but I do try to get better angles from time to time when I can.
