He has one of the coolest models out there but it looks a bit dated, and he is the Hero of the upcoming campaign. So will he get a new model if so how big do you expect him to be and will he keep his hair totem ?

Kharn got a new model for Traitor's Hate - only makes sense that Abaddon will get similar treatment.

Well they told us what three models are coming out with Fall of Cadia (and none of the were Abaddon), which is the book I would assume who would come out in.

However he might get a new model but his rules might not be updated or he might be released with a battle of Terra campaign book.

He will definitely get a new model. Not sure if it will be in 2017 though.

And after she's been dealt with, our fiend Izzy will go nuts with his plastic model. Wonder if they'll change his armor to cataphractii. Both Kharn and Ahzek had pretty drastic changes in appearance.

The last page teaser in the new White Dwarf mentions 'The Gathering Storm continues'. I would not be surprised if they will release the next part of Fall of Cadia after the upcoming Tzeentch Battletome and therefore in the next issue. Such a book would make a good 40k tie-in for the new Tzeentch Daemons including a new Lord of Change model. If Cadia II focuses on Chaos anyway, why not add a new Abaddon model? I thought it was kind of hilarious that (Spoiler) metal/finecast Abaddon was sucked into the warp in the latest White Dwarf battle report - which scenario is actually based on the final mission of the campaign book - and not seen again... but maybe this is just wishful thinking and he will be available for another 20 years

Do you think that GW will give him a new model as part of the fall of Cadia storyline? And if so, do you think that the story arc will stretch on through 2017 and beyond and that's why you think that he won't get one this year? The screenshot is from the next White Dwarf, I think everyone else is right that it may be next month not this one.

They also have nothing but metal sisters of battle in the new White Dwarf /Fall of Cadia etc. They'll use whatever is lying around until they have the new stuff. Personally I have no idea whether or not Abadendron will get a new model, but having a picture of the old guy doesn't prove much.

I do note that the old metal guy in that picture is based like Celestine, so perhaps?

I think the "armless" model will stick around. Seeing him in that battle report hammerd home just how small he is next to beefier new sculpts. And to think that all the cool kids used to base "bigger, badder Termi" conversions on him.

He's such a good sculpt, though, an eventual plastic model should simply be a 3D scanned version with an upsized body and sharper talons on claw with a slightly less flat pose, but just sliiightly.

They'll probably replace his topknot with a hipster man-bun if they do.
