I'm only including the primarchs that were renowned for their close combat ablilities here. So people like Alpharius aren't going to be mentioned here. Just the best of the best. The scenario is if there was a tournament in the colloseum where all the primarchs had to face eachother 1 at at time, who would wind up with the most wins? This is strictly fluff so no tabletiop shenanigans.

Two questions before I answer.
1. Are they trying to kill each other or just duking it out for bragging rights?
2. What wargear are they using?

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

We already have a thread about which Primarch is the best in combat. Is this really neccessary?
Anyways, the best 2 are Fulgrim and Angron.

Yes, they are trying to kill eachother, they all have their usual wargear but no daemonic weapons and no daemonhood

IIRC the other thread was about ranking them and didn't have a poll. This thread is just about the top tier primarchs and which ones are the best.

Definitely would have to say it's a toss up between Fulgrim and Angron. Basically boils down to which one had their wheaties that morning!
Might be leaning to fulgrim as he has taken down two other primarchs...even before daemonhood. I can't imagine killing Ferrus Manus was an easy task...

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

Is this before or after Horus was imbued with the power of the Gods?

No daemonic assistance in any way shape or form. So no daemonhood, daemonic weapons or becoming "ascended" Otherwise Horus would smash the living crap out of all of them

He'd give them quite a challenge anyway, with or without Daemonic help.
