Ive been painting a pre heresy, 30k dark angela army, I understand there colour scheme is black the same as the fallen, has if they were all ravenwing. But now I got some terminators and got confused, where they ushapti bone before the horus heresy?

They were all black during the Heresy and even post Heresy for a while, the 1st and 2nd companies retained their black armour even as the rest of the Dark Angels changed to green.

The Deathwing changed their armour colour in honour of a single Deathwing squad who defended a Dark Angel recruiting world against a genesteeler infestation. The squad had painted their armour white prior to battle to represent death because they thought they were going to die. They ended up winning and saving the planet and so are honoured by the rest of the 1st company now by painting their armour bone white.

Terminators are black as well. The white of the Deathwing was introduced to comemorate the heroic sacrifice of a assault group post which died after the Heresy.

Black like their traitorous hearts!!!

Black with silver trim on shoulder pads and red sprinkled here and there.
