I am planning on adding an Imperial Strong Point to my Iron Warriors/Alpha Legion CSM army. Before Traitors Legion, I was planning on running allied Daemons and using Bloodletters and possibly a Herald to man the guns; but now I'm thinking of just sticking with my Iron Warriors since they now have some great bonuses while in fortifications. I run an infantry-heavy list so I already have plenty of options in the form of a squad of autocannon Havocs, several squads of Chosen with special weapons, and some basic CSM. I'm just wondering if anyone thinks the blood letters high BS is still worth it. Also, I do plan in adding allied Daemons anyways for other options, so I wouldn't be taking them solely to sit in the forts. Thanks!

If you put skulltaker in there he can fire the guns with BS9

Well since you have a squad of automatons couldn't you just have the champ in that squad fire the weapon in question?

Not sure what you mean by a squad of automatons, but I do have several Iron Warrior champions that could man the guns, my question is whether or not people agree that this is better than the high BS of Blood letters and Heralds of Khorne

I'm guessing it's an autocorrect from autohavoks. I think I'd take tank hunter over +1 BS most of the time, especially when you're already taking the havok squad and it takes nothing away from them firing their other guns as opposed to having a squad of melee units sitting around twiddling their thumbs because one of them wants to get their pewpew on.

Having said that, if you do fill a bastion or similar with something like bloodletters, remember that they can use the repel the enemy rules (I think I'm remembering the name correctly) to assault out of buildings, so it can make for a rude shock to things that were expecting an easy time putting a melta bomb on a fortification.
