I would like to use one of my favourite models, namely Bad Dok Dreggutz from Gorkamorka, but the problem is that his warghear does not match current painboy rules. Painboy uses urty syringe, while dreggutz is armed with a bonesaw and a pistol. Is it generally accepted to use such outdated models with current rules applying to them?

Honestly I would doubt anyone would care. As long as you let people know that he's a painboy, there shouldn't be any problem.

Yup. Considering he's a Painboy, and so his loadout is static, you can simply say that the saw is his Dok's tool and the pistol is his Extra 'Urty Syringe (now with additional muscle penetration power, to get to those deeper veins ). So yeah, no problems at all and honestly, while it didn't get too much recognition it is an iconic little model - brownie points for being cool.

Have you ever seen the current model ?
It looks great, it somehow mixes the old art with the new style on but you can't field it WYSIWYG, there just isn't a klaw option for a painboy in the current codex. So your Dok will be fine.

As was said, doubt anyone would put up a fuse. Want to talk old models with outdated gear... we can talk about my lasgun and CCW armed IG Rough Riders. Still annoyed over the fact they forced Rough Riders to take that stupid lance and limit their weapon choices.
