If I make a Death Guard army, would I paint all of the miniatures to be Nurgly or just the Plague Marines? Would they all be considered Plague Marines or would only ones with Plague Marine bits be considered Plague Marines? Would all of the CSMs have to have Plague Marine bits?

I have never met someone who uses the actual plague marine models, most just use regular CSM that are painted to look super gross and corroded. And then the Death Guard CSM are just green with a bit of corrosion here and there.

Maybe different trim/basing to differentiate the units?
