Anyone know the pre-heresy battlecry for the Dark Angels?

"We are loyal! HONEST! Cross our fingers!"

Something in the back of my mind says 'For the Lion, For the Emperor' but I have no idea where that comes from.

According to their Wiki, their battle cries are really lame.

"Repent! For tomorrow you die!" or "A moment of Laxity spawns a lifetime of Heresy!"

I like "For the Lion!" much better. Perhaps that was from one of the Dark Angels HH books, icn?

That is where I would most likely have seen it, but I couldn't point you to the specific book. I also got the feeling that the Dark Angels were loyal to the Lion first, and the Emperor second.

I thought it was "Where's the beef?!"

I suppose it could also be "For Emperor Sake, we are the Dark ANGELS, not the Dark ANGLES'
