Hi all! really new to warhammer here, so this is an army list I wanted to throw at some people for suggestions.

HQ: Hive Tyrant (scything talons + stranglethorn cannon)

Troops:

1 unit of termagants
1 unit of gargoyles
1 unit of tyranid warriors (1 with bone swords and 2 with death spitters)
1 unit of genestealers (+3 to the unit)
1 unit of lictors

Fast Attack:
1 unit of reavers

so yeah thats about it. its probably pretty bad because of how new I am to this whole thing but after looking around this was an affordable and good looking army. Thanks!!

First, general point - 550 is kind of an awkward point level. Most people build from 500 up in 250 pt increments. If you show up with a 550 list, odds are no one in the shop will also have a 550 list.

Second, are these just the models you have available, or are you looking to buy them? I would recommend some things that aren't on your list, but if I need to be restricted to what's on your list currently that's also doable.

thanks! but I'm not too worried about points (as long as its reasonable) as I am only playing with some friends super casual style. however on the lists I am partial to the footslog list as I have always been a fan of the look.

Gotcha. In that case, I would amend my footslog list by adding a Zoanthrope or Biovore. That'll get you to 540 or 550 depending on the route you took! If you go the Biovore route, add Rending Claws to two of the warriors to take you to an even 550!

Same question remains though - did you need to stick to the model list you gave before, or are you free to buy what's on the list I suggested?

well the models I listed are the ones I have rn but I many buy more as time goes on, so giving me new model suggestions are great! and I do want to get Zoanthropes, they have awsome abilities
