As a reunion celebration me and few mates are dusting off our old armies and codexes to have a round robin afternoon with 500 point armies.

We are going to play 3rd edition rules, as that's what our era and I know a lot of time has passed but thought I'd try and get some feedback on this army list. Its based on the 3.5 Imperial Guard codex released in 2003.

Doctrines (max 5)
1. Grenadiers Regiment (allows Storm Troopers as troop choices)
2. Storm Troopers Squads
3. Rough Rider Squadrons
4. Iron Discipline

HQ
Command Platoon - Junior Officer (40) + Iron Discipline (5) : 45

Troops
Storm Trooper Squad - 5x Storm Troopers w/ Hellguns : 50
Storm Trooper Squad - 5x Storm Troopers w/ Hellguns : 50

Fast Attack
Rough Rider Squadron - 5x Rough Riders (40) + Hunting Lances (15) : 55

Heavy Support
Leman Russ Battletank - Hull Mounted Heavy Bolter (5) : 145
Leman Russ Demolisher - Hull Mounted Heavy Bolter (5) : 155

Total : 500 points

Sort of gone for cheap troop units that might cause a little disruption to allow for two leman russes which I hope to cause devastation against small forces. Rough riders are sort to send out on suicide runs against any terminators or anything getting too close.

Don't know if this is the right place to post this, as its old rules, but wondered if there were any 3rd edition reminiscers out there!

Cheers
