So I'm starting a force of AdMech & Imperial Knights I'd like to paint them to look like the loyalists at the battle for the Magma City. In the novel Mechanicum the Knights of Taranis are described as having blue armour, however in the Codex and Visual Guide they are red (Like the rest of everything on Mars). There are two possible reasons I see for this that I see; either Taranis changed their colours after the Schism to show stronger ties to the loyalist Mechanicum or it's just a retcon. I think the blue would look pretty cool but I want to paint what is accurate.

Another question that I have is are there any specific colours given to the Skitarii of Koriel Zeth? I seem to remember something about them having dark robes but that is probably me not remembering properly - I would check this myself but I borrowed Mechanicum from a friend and don't own a copy to look at.

I know it's a somewhat annoying question but any information you could spare me would be greatly appreciated. Cheers lads.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

It's an error (in codex imperial knights, all mechanicum houses were red, forgetting taranis specifically already had a canon colour scheme) ater explained as a change post-heresy (since taranis was essentially wiped out and rebuilt wholesale).

If you want a heresy-era force they should be blue.
