Hey there, kinda confused about the LRA. In the book, imperial armor volume one ,sec edition it says: turret mounted TL lascannon. Says the same thing in the siege of Vraks. BUT with an S at the end, Twin-linked lascannonS. Can't find any info on the main gun itself. So i'm confused. Does it fire 1 or 2 shots ? And for the price of 150p or 130p ?

regards

IA has the most recent rules, it is one single T/L Lascannon. So one shot, rerolling misses.

I believe it is intended to be twin linked Las-Cannons

Twin Linked weapons are two of the same weapon linked together. As such it can sometimes be called a Twin Linked Las-Cannon (one twin linked weapon), other times it will be called Twin Linked Las-cannons (two Las Cannons linked together).

It fires one shot that can be re-rolled, as per twin linked weapons.

Which is the most recent book (I suspect its the siege of Vraks). A quick wiki search will probably tell you the release date.

Oh, exalted for quick access to that list. Slight possible glitch though, The Arvus Lighter in the IA book is 60 points, yet the same thing in the HH red books is 75 (I know because I have been looking at all the different imperial fliers today trying to work out which ones suit my IG army best fluff wise). I assumed I would be paying 75 points for it, but based on that list I would be paying 60 points. Truth is, it doesn't bother me to much either way as it is more about the fluff, or though having regular units being able to DS would be nice from time to time, especially in narrative or scenario games.

The Arvus is 75 points in the IA Aeronatica, and 75 points in HH Book V as well.

It is essentially a TL Lascannon. In all honesty not really worth it as even the Vanquisher is better.
A pity too - the model and idea are both nice.

I recall doing the math for the LR Vanquisher vs LR Annihilator some time ago, and the Vanquisher is often the better choice.

If I recall correctly, The Annihilator is better against AV10 and 11, the Vanquisher is better against AV 12, 13 and 14.

Really? I could have sworn it was 60, maybe I was looking at an older copy/edition then?
