Hi people. So I'm considering buying the model of Erebus for my Word Bearers army. However, an acquaintance of mine told me that the model was kinda crappy and easy to damage. He recommends buying the 40k Dark Apostle model as a proxy (my gaming store / league allows that for some model of a certain quality). What's your opinion on the subject ?

P.S. : And no, I'm not an official tournament player.

Resin is slightly more fragile than plastic. So yes, there is that. However, I don't see how it would be too fiddly. Most of the stuff is stuck to him and the staff isn't absurdly ornate.

You want to see fiddly delicate bits, you look at Zardu. I have broken that backpack and the staff. But he is just so awesome and gorgeous! Totally worth it.

The Apostle is resin as well. He is far cheaper though.

I have Erebus and he is completely fine.

As for Zardu, he is a bit of a cursed model for me because his staff was too long to fit on the base and I lost one of his backpack spike things, but he still looks alright.

Aye its fine also if you end up playing with people who dont accept substitute models that are wysiwyg then stop playing with those people.

Yep he is fragile, make sure you pack him away properly as his fingers have a tendency to break off
