Hello,
Is it possible to rebase models that have already been glued to their base?
A lot of models I have were glued already to the bases so I can use them to play. But now I have only limited options for basing around the feet which is not as splendid as something flat I could work with.
Is it possible to somehow get the adhesive to give way to rebase them? I have about 80 models I want to redo.
I used the Army Painter model glue, if that makes any difference.

Sounds a bit too obvious but I could get a lot of them off their bases just buy wedging them free with an x-acto knife.

I am not aware of chemistry that can just pop them out form the base. The way I use to rebase models may be considered a Savagery by some!
I've rebased dozens of models so far with just a hobby knife (scalp tool). You just have to start carefully cutting the glue between the feet of the mini and the base. It is hard effort and you will end up wearing off a couple of blades.
Suggested type of knife:

In addition, if you have trouble removing the mini from the base, you can try break off the base with clippers like those below and then cut the glue from the feet with knife :

One suggestion is the "chisel" tip for an Xacto knife --- something I use frequently for a variety of tasks. Safer too than the small tipped sharp ones (prone to snapping off the tip if you're reckless).

I'll have to give these suggestions a shot, thanks all.
I'll probably go with the chisel tip if anything. My recklessness is renown to those who know me.

I snow/grass base/flock my minis after they are painted and glued to plain bases. So depending on what you are going for, you might be able to skip the chopping phase.
