What's up? Below is a list I've been contemplating ever since the Traitor Legions came out. Please give thoughts. Thank you.

World Eaters Butcherhorde

Maelstrom of Gore:
Lord on Juggy with Axe of Blind Fury
3x Vanilla 5 man Berserker squads
1x 8 man Berserker squad, Champ with double lightening claws

Lord of the Legion:
Lord with Power Fist and Talisman of Burning Blood

Auxiliary:
1x Spawn with MoK

Formation:
KDK Gorepack
2x 3 man biker squads with 2x meltaguns and 1 champ with meltabomb
15x hounds
5x hounds

Formation:
Black Legion Cyclopia Cabal:
1x sorcerer w/ jump pack, 3x psychic powers, Burning Brand of Skalanthrax, spell familiar
1x sorcerer w/ bike, 3x psychic powers, spell familiar
1x sorcerer w/ bike, 3x psychic powers, Mark of Nurgle, spell familiar

This list is about 20 points shy of 1850

The plan is to run the Berserkers forward and hopefully the mini death star of the 2 lords and the 8 man Berserker squad will get off a first turn assault. 2d6 at start of games, 6 + 3 inches of movement due to the Talisman (the lord on Juggy will get 9 + 3 inches with the squad in tow behind him) then a rerollable charge distance, then +3 for the Maelstrom of Gore special rule and another +3 from the Talisman. So, 2d6 + 6 (9) + 3 + rerollable charge distance + 3 + 3. So not counting the 2d6 and the charge distance, we're already at 15 (18) inches of movement. Plug in the average 2d6 roll of 7 and we add another 14 (17) inches to that which give these guys 29 (32) inches on average. Not bad.

The Cyclopia Cabal will use a plethora of powers to power up units where/when needed. Obviously fishing for invis, biomancy stuff and the Nurgle power that gives +1 toughness.

Thoughts?

I don't like you on my flank because it makes me scared. I don't like being scared. Now pay attention because I'm going to ask questions later. If I ever see you again I'm gonna kill you. Got that?

I kind of like the idea of the list, but I am interested as to what the nurgle sorcerer is doing? since he can't join any units? or is the idea to keep the sorcerers all together in one squad?

I would also be tempted to reduce the 8 man squad down to 5 and use the points to put a juggernaut on the other lord, I would then put both of the lords in with the 15 flesh hounds and us them as your 'mini star'. Just a thought.

You sought to cower behind your walls, weakling? Instead, by the will of Khorne, you shall die behind them

You're not really gaining anything by taking a Butcherhorde, you should just take a CAD and make a Houndstar since you're basically doing the same thing but less powerful.

I figured the Nurgle dude could join in with the black legion dudes as well as the houndstar. I guess I am mistaken?

Yeah, I was thinking of that. Just go CAD with 2 lords and then add a gorepack and a cyclopia cabal. I sort of like the idea of threatening with a bunch of berserkers turn one...But it would be more effective as a huge amount of hounds.

A first turn charge is overrated. The enemy will provide you with a bait. If you tap in, he will shoot you after you wiped out the enemy after the charge.

Depends on what and how many things I'm charging though, right?

Right.
I'd consider a charge along a flank and try to roll up this flank afterwards. Charging headlong through the center can be suicide.

Used this list today...Quite effective. Tabled a marine player. Having that extra 3 inches to charge range doesn't seem like a lot but it's great.

I also got real lucky with the psychic powers. Rolled invis with my first die...

Did you go first or second?

I went first.

The combination of the psychic powers is totally insane. That said, relying on them might be a bad idea. I literally rolled for every power I wanted. On Biomancy I rolled warp speed, endurance, and iron arm. lol I even rolled curse of the leper for my Nurgle sorcerer which is crazy powerful. Those, combined with invisibility made life for my opponent very tough.

The only drawback is that I only have 9 psychic dice to start with. I think I need to squeeze another sorcerer in somewhere.

Eye of Terror

On the Cabal, might make sense to explore the Black Legion artefacts.

Like someone else said, you are likely going to get baited charging up the board. The Eye of Night may be a good counter to that, something to blow up one of the opponent's ablative units.

I am a big fan of the Last Memory of the Yuranthos. Setting off a S4 attack on everything in 18 inches is great when you are stuck in. In case you are worried about the perils problem, don't be - the spell familiar gives you a freebie, and it really only needs to go off once.

With the new chaos powers that match the space marine ones do you need a nurgle guy. Also don“t all the cabal need VotLW
