I am trying to create a custom Space Marine Chapter only I do not know what chapter I want mine to be the successors of. I am not sure what the tactics of the main chapters are to an extent. I was leaning towards Dark Angels or Blood Angels. I want to have my own squad formations and organizations although I will accept codex formations and rules. I want to focus on xenos like tyranids, orcs, and daemons. Emphasis on daemons. I was hoping any Space Marine players could give me some insight. Thank you.

This is a pretty good guide to designing your own chapter.

I'd suggest you only write fluff and avoid rules as your opponents might not be amenable to them. Other than that, avoid turning your chapter into a Mary Sue and you're already half way there.
