I was reading master of sancity and they go into a lot of detail assaulting and fighting a nurgle planet. This got me wondering if there are other books with well described battles with planets of Khorne , Slaanesh , and Tzeentch. Fighting nurgle seems like a nightmare and would like more incite to the other chaos powers.

Descriptions of chaos worlds are many and varied. I don't have a list of which books feature specific descriptions though.

You can go to http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Main_Page and search for "demon world" and see what the articles list as references.

Fear to Tread Horus Heresy book could inspire your imagination - not technically a demon world, but more of an imperial world on the verge of becoming one.

Again, not actually a demon world, but an Eldar Crone World would be Angel Exterminatus

All four of the Black Crusade "Tome of..." series have excellent descriptions of worlds both directly controlled and influenced by chaos in all manner of different ways.

Others may be chaos xenos. Its not a set rule.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Ben Counter's book "Daemon World" (unsurprisingly) has a lot about a daemon world in the Maelstrom. An old-but-good 'un.
