Lookin for a low point army to start off with that won't take *too* long to play. I'm considering going this route and just having them all out on the table to start with (rather than attempting to summon).

Looks good-ish to me. It's definitely not top-tier but you're going to be fine for casual play and can build to be decently competitive. You've got decent body count and board control. My recommendation is that you focus the hexwraith as denial units. A few misions require that no enemy models be within x distance, in my experience, hexwraiths do that with infuriating efficiency.

Nefferata is good, the best of the mortarchs in my opinion since she provides good bonuses that are not hampered in matched play.

Thank you for the quick response. And, yes, I most definitely intend to grow my Death army over time. I'm not really into competitive play... more just playing to have fun whether I win or lose. Just wanted to get a small army together to be able to play at the 1000 point mark.
