I currently have Horus Heresy Book 2: Massacre and I plan on getting Horus Heresy Legiones Astartes: Age of Darkness Army List so I have the basic army list rules. I plan Iron Hands... or will when I get the book and was wondering, since Massacre already has the rules for my primarch and legion specific units, is there any thing in Age of Darkness Legions not present in Massacre that I would benefit from?

Unless your legion has access to the Dreadclaw Ancillus Drop Pod (I believe the rules are with Sons of Horus iirc), then no, you should be good.

Having the legions book wouldn't hurt, though; especially if you ever want to play a new legion, or maybe to see what your opponents have access to.

If you've got the army list then you're up-to-date regarding all the units.

Looking at both Book 2 and the most recent AoD Legions, it looks like nothing has changed. All the same characters are present, none of the points costs have changed, and it looks like the rules are all the same.

The rules are not the same, at the very least Word Bearers have different rules like addition of Zardu and Lorgar loses divination.

Iron Hands went unchanged however so you're good.
