First question is about CAWL.
Is it safe to say that CAWL can be taken as an HQ in a cult mechanicus battle congregation and therefore he can be in a Warconvo?
2nd questions, Canticles. 3 Rules to consider:
-War Convocation Rule - The Machine Brotherhood of Mars: All units in the formation have the Canticles of the Omnisiah special rule even though they are not Cult Mechanicus.
-Canticles of the Omnissiah: At the start of each of your turns, you can choose one Canticle of the Omnissiah from the list below. The effects of each Canticle last until the start of your next turn. Unless otherwise stated, each Canticle can only be used once during the game.
-Canticles of the Archmagos can only be used if Belisarius Cawl is on the battlefield. These work in exactly the same way as Canticles of the Omnissiah, except they also affect friendly vehicle units from the Armies of the Imperium within 12" of him, even if they don’t have the Canticles of the Omnissiah special rule.
With the above 3 statements should we assume -
- If CotAM are work the same way as CotO, then in a Warconvo they would have an effect on all units army wide, including the knight who is considered to have CotO. Meaning the knight doesn't have to be 12" away from CAWL.
- And I think its obvious that CotO would be active as well as CotAM because they are separate buffs and it does not state they cancel each other out.
- Is it safe to assume that CotAM would not affect additional units not in a warcovo but taken as allies etc... like inquisitors etc...
Third question - Arcana Mechanicum – Characters that can normally take a relic and are part of a Conclave Acquistorius Formation, Grand Concavaction Detachment or are in an army that includes Belsarius Cawl can take these:
- Since CAWL is part of the war convocation, any of the skitarii alphas and princeps could choose to take Arcana Mechanicum relics or the regular skitarii relics. Same for TPD's and Cybernetica Datasmiths.
Let me know what you think?
