Hi everyone,

I've just bought the Kill Team box set and i've been told that that the teams are unbalanced in terms of points. I am new to 40K and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to assemble the set so that I have 2 balanced teams. If you could tell me what weapons to give each model etc that would be great.

Thank you

Dave

The problem is that a fire warrior squad can be 12 guys, while the box only provides 10. If you have 12 fire warriors, take the 2 drones and turret, and upgrade one to a shas'ui, you're at 152 points. With just the 10, that's only 134.

The marine set doesn't give you a heavy bolter, only a ML (5 more points), and assuming you take the cheapest special weapon, a flamer, and no veteran sergeant, you're still at 160. 8 point difference if you have a maxed fire warrior squad would be okay, but unless you pick up 2 fire warriors online or such normally you're talking a 26 point difference.

If you want to make things perfectly balanced, you completely strip the marine side of special weapons, making them 140 (but a little bland), or only give a flamer and make it a 9 man squad for 131 points, or an 8 man squad with grav or plasma for 127.

Gathering the Informations.

The reason that a Fire Warrior Strike Squad(the only kind that can be 12 guys) is because the old box was 12 models instead of 10.
