My list idea is a mash up of the Maelstrom of Gore and Plague Colony formations with an Iron Warrior CAD to get some Oblits in the mix.

Now I have my doubts about this being competative because of the lack of Objsecure, but I think there is an interesting synergy here. The idea would be to get the berzerks into combat with the plague marines behind them... using the debuff from the plague colony and hopfully giving the bezerks the edge in close combat. The Plague marines secondary use will be to hold objs and shoot stuff. The oblits will attempt to elimanate bigger threats... not sure thats enough shooting. Anyways thats the idea. Tell me what ya think.

Mostly looks nice. I would bump the plague squads to maybe 7 marines to soak more fire and allow the plasma to survive. I would also consolidate the Bezerkers to 2 Rhinos via two 10 man squads.
However, I have not played with the new codex yet, just writing some theoryhammer here!

Is Typhus worth it? Without zombies I'm not sure.
I would probably cut the rhinos, you can't get the bonus move embarked. More bodies and weapon upgrades will help the butcherhorde.
Saying that the plague Marines will benefit from rhinos for mobility

In my humble opinion, as much as i want this list to work, it might not.... i will try my absolute best to help you out here.
I think that both typhus and kharn are massive point sinks to your army, i would rather go for a barebones lord. I also think that you should drop the iron warriors completely and make your khornate decurion the primary force of your army. they should be a chaos warband with maybe a power weapon and melta bomb for sergeants and thats it. I think if you do it like that you will be able to have points for rhinos for your plague marines. with that said i dont have the points on hand, but it does solve your problem of not having enough obsec units.

I agree, but think it could be a choice between Typhus and Kharn.
Typhus is better when he has the dice to pull off psychic powers. He's the only psyker in your army. Replace Kharn with a sorcerer.
Or... Kharn is the perfect cc monster for this army. Get more to compliment that. Remove Typhus, replace him with a generic CL, and get another Spawn.
If the choice is to dump both... go ahead. Replace them with generic CLs. Add some cultists to the Iron Warriors CAD for objective secured.

I think I'll for go typhus aND Kharn. Replace them with stock lords with some extras and a bike for the nurgle CL. I'll give power weps to the bezerk Champs and switch the rhinos over to the plague marines so they can keep up with the charging bezerk and support them with melta and plasma. I'll as long add some cultist to the iron warrior cad and a bike squad for the nurgle lord to join... I'll work up a new list tonight and submit it for you guys to look over. K so the Berzerkers charge out on foot to run down the enemy and distract stuff. Plague colony follows up to confer the -1 initiative and weapon skill to the opponents of the Zerks while giving them melta and plasma support. The lords link up with the Iron warriors bikers and run down deathstars and other big threats... and hopfully murder stuff with their demonweapons really like this legion bikers mashup. Sorc hangs with the plague colony and supports them with powers and other support. Cultists hold stuff in the backfield with their object secure, preferably in cover and maybe even attract some shooting. Oblits strike in and try to blow up high threat and can also contest object because they'll have obj secure.
what cha think? worried about fliers...
