Hi guys, just a quick introduction:

I'm returning to the world of Warhammer 40k after over a decade off. I started playing back in 1990 - that's right, some of my models are the old Rogue Trader stuff (remember the square 40k bases?) and I've been sucked back into this world like demonworld back into the Eye of Terror.

I play Eldar and Astra Militarum (they'll always be Imperial Guard to me), but never got into Warhammer Fantasy because with limited time, you've got to pick a side, and well, spaceships, gunz, giant robots; what was a teenage boy going to do? I also have a complete set of Eldar and Tyranid armies in Epic 40K - shout out to anyone who remembers painting hundreds of 5mm models - but they're just taking up space in my cupboard next to the stack of White Dwarf magazines from the 90s.

I've always enjoyed reading the Black Library publications, playing the computer games, well the ones that weren't terrible (god, does anyone remember Fire Warrior?!) and it's great to be here, where I can learn about the new system, and keep building my enthusiasm for the 40K universe.

Cheers,

Flasheart

Started playing 25 years ago. Coming back from 10 years off.

welcome! I too continue to call them the Imperial Guard. I started about the same time you did, and still have few of those old minis as well. Nice to see another old school player.

Keeping the hobby side alive!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
