Well, I thought I had quit, but just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in.

I've had this Necron Lord, or possibly Overlord, on my desk pretty much since the kit was released. See, I don't paint the models anymore, and I haven't played in forever, but boy I sure do still buy them sometimes. Although less so now.

Spoiler:

In repainting this guy, I discovered 2 things. One, my painting skills have degraded considerably, and I wasn't that great to begin with. It's definitely not like riding a bike. Two, a bunch of my paint went bad :( I've ordered some new stuff in case "actually getting stuff painted again" becomes a thing (it won't probably).

If it does, though, you would not believe how many Necron characters alone I have in the queue. Here are all the ones I've done so far, though, if you want a gander.

Spoiler:

Wow. If you count that as your painting skill as having degraded, then you must have a pretty damn good standard.

I really like the horns you put on the necron lord rather than the usual phaeron/Overlord crown they have, it gives it a lot more character and fits with the style of scythe he has.

The new Overlord model is really well done, and yours does it true justice! The head conversion is super cool, and him towering over a fallen marine makes him extra BA!

OH-I Wanna get out of here

Solid return. Hopefully it is an actual return and not just a heat of the moment thing.
