My suggestion is basecoat white (obviously) first.
Do several good layers of thinned down white scar over everywhere you want to be white. I'd go with at least two, to three. Just get the white scar good and thinned down and keep the paint thinned as you paint to keep it from clumping up.
Then, once dry, depending on what shading you want to use, (grey/black or blue) you go in and use a slightly thinned down wash into all the joints, recesses, etc. After that, go in and neaten up with some white scar if needed. Use a fine tip brush and just take your time to try and be as neat as you can.
Once that's finished, and you clean up with the white scar around where the wash was placed, go in and paint the details. Metallics, eye gems/lenses, the red markings, etc.
After that, with practice, you should have pretty good looking tabletop White Scars.
