I recently had an odd interaction come up in a game where my opponent dropped an (objective secured) drop pod on an objective. He cast Invisibility on the pod.
During my turn I charged the pod with my GSC First curse formation. The immobile pod counts as WS 0, so is hit automatically in CC, but Invisibility says you need a 6 to hit. We ran it as Invisibility overriding the auto-hit, so I ended up unable to kill the pod.

What's the proper way to resolve this? With ITC, it seems that it would still be an auto hit. Without the "WS 1" nerf to Invisibility, how does this work?
Thanks in advance!

Proper RAW is that "hit on 6's" is different from checking what you hit on by means of the WS chart. It may be WS 0, but with Invisibility in effect you ignore the WS chart and just go straight to hitting on 6's. Invisibility is dumb.

However, I think ITC has a better idea of it. Going to WS1 instead allows some interaction at least.

You auto hit, if there was a roll you would need 6s. As there is no roll you don't need to roll to hit. HoW attacks work the same way, auto hits.

This is how I understand it. You don't need to roll against WS0, therefore there is no requirement on what has to be rolled. You just move straight into wounds.

Thanks for the replies!
Mostly the same as what I had discussed with my opponent.
The auto hit would skip the "to hit" step like HoW, but Invisibility specifically requires a 6 in CC. We decided to just let Invisibility override because if he knew it would do nothing to protect the pod, he would have just cast it on the Rhino (also obj. Secured) also parked next to the objective. We play casually so nobody was too concerned.
I think the answer is to just start using the ITC version of Invisibility, because that seems to clear up most of the BS and rules conflicts around the power.
Thanks again!
