Getting around to crafting an Emperor's Children list. Could use some help.

The idea is a footslogging list where the Noise Marines use the cultists as a meatshield and shoot from behind, ignoring cover. Eventually, something is going to be within 24 inches and the NMs won't need to move anymore. The Spawn are a delivery mechanism for the CL. Anything that assaults will kill a unit but be subjected to a lot of firepower the next turn, and the Obliterators and Rapiers are shooting up anything that's not optimal for the rest of the list.

Not sold on the idea yet. The Kakophoni costs around 1170 points, it's expensive and needs more tools to make sure it gets there. The Iron Warriors CAD is a holdover from another list I am running, I could go another way. The Warpsmith is just a fluffy option and I am not tied to using him.

is the auxillary 1 unit of 2 spawns or 2 units of 1 as I don´t see how a single model is a delivery system to be honest.

My noise marine army [the instruments of destruction] is basically the same. The guys with the heavy weapons lay down fire while the Meatshield units run forward and soak up the return fire.
Cultist/meatsheild are very handy. Sometimes they can do more than stop bullets with their brains.
