just asking because i really want to buy one but i know it will just join the backlog, so i would prefer to buy it at a later date, unless they're going out of print?

My understanding is they aren't limited edition, but that's no reason to believe they won't be available again in the future.

It could be they just have an insane surplus of those specific units and want to sell them off. Once they get back to a normal number of basic squads and basic transports, they might pull this from the shelves.

However, it seems like boxed collections (Start collecting, armored assault, etc) are a new theme, I doubt they're going anywhere.

Then again that box where you get two Imperial Knights are not available anymore and it was never said to be a limited release either.

I waited for the two Imperial Knight set because like you, I have a huge back log. So I said I will wait till I am ready. Now I see I lucked out and can't get it now.

So take your chance.

I saw a Deathwatch Overkill set, and bought it and it's in back log now. At least I will have it when I am ready for it.

So it's a gamble. If you don't buy it, in most cases it will not be available when you are ready for it. If you do buy it, in most cases it will be there when you are ready for it.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Murphy's law, eh?

I am in a similar situation.

I wan't another raider to convert and make look haemonculus coven-ey, and with these deals, I wouldn't pay for a raider I'd just buy armoured assault, its just a better deal in like every way so I'd grab some more Kabalite in the box. (I will never need more, I just like converting).

But a raider to replace a vanilla one isn't pressing, and I'd rather start my talos conversion, they cost the same amount (roughly).

So if it sticks around a few months from now, or hell just a month from now I'll probably grab it, but if it isn't then i'm not devastated, but pretty bummed, I could have clogged my painting table even more with those 10 kabalite!

According to Element Games they were a one shot and they don't expect any more so have listed them as unavailable. Certainly they did not restock this week, so I guess they were right.

There's another that is $60 as well. It's because of the kits involved. For example, the Tyranid one gives you a Tervigon, which as a standalone kit is $57.75, they're not going to make a box set that is less total than one of the parts in the box. It's completely understandable.

Edit: The other $60 one is Necrons, presumably for a similar reason although the transport for them is slightly under $50. Every other transport in these is under $45 on its own.

The transport boxes have come out every Holliday season but they usually disappear a month or so later

I was told that once they are gone, that they are gone. So I would pick it up while you can and add it to your pile of shame now.
