Very interesting so it's an eternal cycle of war and death. Perhaps he turned to the incarnates and sigmar to try and stop this? Going by end times and AOS the chaos gods have been doing this for a long time. These revelations make the setting quite lovecraft in terms of story. plus he must have a lot to clean up considering Archaon destroyed other worlds after the end times through the realm of chaos. If you look at tzeentch in the disciples of tzeentch tome you see him opening portals to other worlds.

Another interesting note is that in the pantheon short story sigmar wonders perhaps some higher power put him on this path. He would of rather die as a mortal King.

Also the gods from the warhammer world were once mortal also but their old world was destroyed by chaos. They are pretty much refugees and in the short story sigmar calls the incarnates divine refugees from the warhammer world.

Exactly. This is something that I want to mention when I speak at greater length on the godbeasts and/or the realms, but AoS draws even more heavily on Moorcocks influences than the other two major games: the realms are basicall the... well, realms, of the Sword and dragon (I think it was this name) cycle, while the stormcasts are flawed but mass produced versions of the eternal champion. There's more into it, but I digress.

Did an edit in my last post about tzeentch and funny enough people on the grand alliance forum do also agree that whfb and AOS more so is inspired by moorcock.

One last point I want to add in the pantheon short story it also reveals the edges of each realm essentially leads into the realm of chaos. Just like how the north of the warhammer world also lead into the realm of chaos. The difference is that random bits of land are made and latch onto the realm to expand it. But the most important point is the similarity aspects and it was through this that chaos first began corrupting people.

I listened to the 2 new videos - good stuff )still waiting for the goth-beasts though ). If you're looking for some Mortal Realms art to go with your videos, check out some Darksiders 2 screenshots and its worlds (there is an all encompassing tree there aswell etc). Seriously, the reason I started collecting AoS was that I fell in love with the environment and art of Darksiders. This was how I imagined the realms at the time (the Realm of Death in particular).

Oh yeah, those two. God-Beasts will be updated this afternoon, at around 7:30pm. I had to redo the videos because my pen-drive got corrupted so that's the main reason.

Well, god-beasts are out. It's nice to see they are actually like the anti-thesis of the eight gods.

Hmm about Ulric and Asuryan possibly he might of been a godbeast but generally godbeasts don't seem like beings to have worshipers I do agree that the warhammer gods most likely came from a simlar position the incarnates started in AOS because Lileath noted Asuryan and her are refugee's from a previous world and Asuryan was the first to seed life in the warhammer world if I recall. I do wonder was the celestial drake a servant of the old ones? Perhaps Asuryan or even ulric met with him when their world ended?

Actually, at least Behemat, seemed to have worshippers. The giants in the great green torc featured him in his legends as some king under the mountain and awaited for him to lead a great last charge in a similar fashion to the ragnarokk (which they kind of got).

Ignax, if I recall correctly, had some sort of "worship" amongst the tribesmen of the island.

Then there's the Phoenix temple, which consists of servants of the Ur-Phoenix devouted to him.

Hmm very interesting you know I could see Ulric actually being a godbeast thinking about it he acts more like a wolf than a man.
