Hello my friends, thankyou for having me on this site.

My local game store is starting a slow-grow league for Age of Sigmar and I have a few questions that I'm not 100% clear on.

I wanted to run a High Aelf army, our first meeting is going to be a 500pt list, I wanted to run the following:

1 x Spireguard (10)
1 x Spireguard (10)
1 x Reavers (5)
1 x Dragon Noble (1)

However, after looking at both the warscrolls for the units in the general's handbook and on the mobile application...I found something that I'm just not quite grasping....
Spireguard have the following listed after their unit info:" SwiftHawk Agents Battleline". Because the Battleline trait has "SwiftHawk Agents" in front of it....does that mean they can ONLY be taken as battleline if the entirety of the army is swifthawk agents? The Dragon Noble is an Aelf....but he's not considered 'swift hawk agents'.....

Am I understanding things correctly? Would Spireguard ONLY count as battleline if 100% of the army is from the SwiftHawk Agent subfaction list? If that;s the case, then my wee little list will not work.... :(

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

I'm sorry... you have to be 100% swyfthawk... may I recommend you swap a unit of spireguard and the noble for a highwarden (dude on gryphon)??

Darn, well thank you for explaining that!
Plan B is to run an Order coalition force....meaning week one will be Stormcast (and 3 battleline units) then week 2 (1000) will start adding in Alefs.

Otherwise....does GW still print any High Elf battleline units anymore? I couldn't find spearmen on their website...and I think it's only Spearmen and Silver Helms that are considered 'battleline' with no pre-reqs like the swifthawks...

You could also ask your League they're willing to use less battleline at 500 pts. When we started at 500 we cut all of the requirements and restrictions in half. 1-2 Leaders, 1+ battleline, 0-2 artillery, 0-2 Behemoth.

Good idea! I'm pretty sure Reavers are just straight up battleline....unless they were changed since the publishing of the GHB.

Nope. Reavers are plain battleline. GO for it! This world needs more swyfthawks!

Thanks man! I'm looking forward to it. Most of the slowgrow league is running Destruction, Chaos, and Death. Only one other guy is running Order, and he's running Fireslayers. I was surprised that out of the 25 people we have signed up so far, that no one is running stormcast...
