Hey, so today I got some clay which hardens in air and I really wanted to use some chosen which lead me to wanting to fix the gaps in my dark vengeance set.
And then it just hit me, could I use air-hardening clay as green-stuff?

No sorry to say air dry clay tends to crack when drying and weaken a lot. Chances are it will shatter crack or just fall off.

Air hardening clay is garbage, even for gap filling.

Ages ago, before Kneadatite (green stuff) was widely available, I tried almost everything for mini conversion/sculpting. Trust me when I say that green stuff is always worth using.

It's not totally useless, but for things bigger than gaming miniatures, and even then you need a fairly deft hand with it compared to epoxy putty. Keep it more for terrain. And by 'terrain' I mean 'rocks'.

I agree with the above. I have used air hardening clay for terrain and it works well, but does tend to crack and crumble wherever it is thin. Since this would apply to any gap filling...stick with GS (or look at other milliput styles that can be less expensive)

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.
