Hey, DakkaDakka
I'm hoping that this awesome community can help me. Have been a long time visitor, but just recently made an account to participate.
So here's my current situation. I have seven stormhawk interceptors/stormtalon, complete models, except they are all missing their engines. I have scoured every bit store around and most don't even offer the particular part. The few that I found that do were all sold out and upon messaging them I was told that they rarely restock and when they do it's not very many at a time. Ideally l would fine someone that happened to have seven sets of engines, but I'm sure that's not going to happen. Tried getting them via GW and no luck. Does anyone know of a third party site that sells a comparable bit or has any thoughts or ideas on how to remedy the situation? It'a a long shot I know but I figured I would ask.

I'm more than a little curious how you end up with seven vehicles missing engines...

You can't just tell a story like that and then not tell how it ended up like this.
|
1400 points of EW/MW Italians (FoW)
2200 points of SoB and Inquisition (40K)
1000 points of orks (40K)
Just starting out with Ultramarines (30K)
Four 1000-2500 point forces for WHFB (RIP)
One orc team (Blood Bowl) |

It's actually not nearly as interesting of a story as you might hope for. I do a lot of buying/selling/trading and these came as part of trade. The real story would be with why in the hell did the person who purchased them just.take the two parts from each box and then put them aside. That's a lot of cash for some random engine parts. When doing the trade I felt confident in being able to replace any missing parts considering they are a popular model. I was way off ha

Could you try finding similar parts from nephilim, stormfangs, etc?
Alternatively, googling around for pics of space marine flyers apparently some people do a VTOL conversion with some rotor nacelles instead of the engines and wings?

I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy. |

I was looking for engines for a scratch build a while back and the Robogear ships might work for you.
Hoard of bits has them.

Hitech sells just engines.

They might need a bit of work to make it look right, but still.
